Assembly Design

At NASC, we utilize fundamental Design For Assembly techniques and methodologies to engineer and reengineer a product and to support the effectiveness of a new product’s design and development. NASC’s manufacturing managers and design engineers work diligently from onset to ensure that when a product goes to final assembly, it is designed with an “ease of assembly” approach, thus reducing time and costs so that we can pass these savings on to our customers.

Electrical Assemblies

NASC’s electrical assembly consists of our highly skilled technicians reading and interpreting wire schematics and drawings to build, test and repair electrical equipment, tools, components, wire harnesses, control panels, custom electronic products and assemblies. NASC’s technicians are highly experienced and have expertise in building unmanned aircraft avionics, military systems and computer/command/control products. Our technical staff prides themselves in producing quality work, on schedule and within budget under AS9100c and ISO 9001:2008 certifications.

Mechanical Assemblies

NASC has years of experience in assembling mechanical components and sub assemblies, and we complete custom products in an assembly line or work center environment. NASC’s mechanical assembly process is tailored to our customer product needs while utilizing our internal quality assurance requirements. Special engineering techniques are applied to NASC’s assembly processes to ensure the components are handled once, oriented once and attached to the assembly in an efficient order to achieve the most cost-effective assembly times, product quality and on-time assembly of products. NASC has the experience and training to assist companies with applying these principles early in the design process to ensure that the product is built in a logical order using design for assembly principles, work centers and/or assembly line technologies.

J-STD-001 Solder Certifications

The IPC J-STD-001 standard emphasizes process control and sets industry requirements on soldering requirements for a broad range of military and commercial manufacturing electronic products. For this reason, NASC’s technicians are certified on a regular basis to ensure assemblies are soldered to these standards. Our technicians have the experience, training, and certifications required to produce these high quality soldered interconnections.

Component Design & Integration

NASC offers a complete end-to-end design, manufacture, and integration services. NASC is the contractor of choice when it comes to cable harness design, fabrication, integration, assembly and testing. NASC also offers a complete electro/mechanical design, manufacturing and integration service and provides rapid turnaround times for hardware deliverables that require complete configuration control of technical data. As an enhancement to NASC’s product design capabilities, we provide custom test fixtures, jigs, dies and molds design and fabrication services specializing in composite layup molds, metal forming dies and specialty test fixtures.
